    • I believe MIT was the first to do this. One doesn't get to pass exams or earn diplomas this way, though, but it is great for those who want to learn for the sake of learning.

    • This will prove a helpful tool for many people in virtually all age groups. People who missed out on college won't be at such a disadvantage in the corporate world. People coming from impoverished families will now be able to earn credentials to raise their children in a better environment. The big question is whether the completion of these courses will be treated with equal regards as would a degree from a university when applying for a job.
