How about this? A tyre that's strong enough to take the weight of a humvee, far more durable and strong than your average tyre, and never needs pumping up.
These honeycomb-structured rubber-latex tyres have so far been designed for military vehicles for durability and ability to last. Kinda reminds me of those Lego/Mechano things...

I think it varies by material. Also honeycombs use the minimum material for maximum volume, while triangles provide maximum rigidity. It all depends on what you want the structure to do.
