A new lead in the fight against cancer: Nanotube 'longboats'; essentially structures which deliver toxic drugs directly into cancerous cells.

They were shown to be effective in killing cells with folic acid receptors, which are particularly numerous on cancer cells.

    • i cant believe for one minute that someone would rather insert deadly toxins into their body without first trying every natural, less harmful possibility. treatments that poison and kill more patients than they help should be a last resort.

no, i have not but im sure you have many times. look, ive seen lots of people eaten up by this disease and i know how horrific it is. some of them very close friends of mine. and i watched as they poisoned their bodies and got sicker. and they did recover. but the laws in this country make some of the possible treatments illegal. if i was dying would i be concerned with the legality of any proposed medicine? do i really have to answer that? people that have a staunch stance against cannabis are throwing away a possible treatment option. it has been demonised to the point that people would rather poison themselves and possibly die. its just sad to me to see a beneficial medicine be lumped in with heroin, cocaine, meth. cannabis is not that kind of drug.

    • Good times for cancer research: it seems that recently there have been more potential breakthroughs against cancer and AIDS than ever before: we should be funding this like crazy, INSTEAD OF WAGING POINTLESS F***ING WARS.
