The guys at Gmail feel your pain, so they've created Mail Goggles to help deter you from sending any errant late night emails... and test whether you're in the right state of mind to do so. And by default, it's only activated late at night.

Genius! I wish someone had invented this when I was a teenager and the emotional rant I'd previously confined to a shame-inducing diary appeared in email form, usually sent to some poor, harrassed, slightly frightened boy. Any plans to develop it for text messages too? Dangerous, dangerous ground...
