Not wishing to be outdone by Apple's eagerly-awaited announcement of their new MacBooks and MacBook Pros yesterday, Microsoft have now confirmed that their next OS, codenamed Windows 7, will, with staggering originality, be called 'Windows 7'.

Reckon Windows could be running scared of more 'exotic' or 'aspirational' names like.. oh, I dunno... Vista?
