Once you've installed the application, hold the iPhone in such a way that you can conveniently press the four buttons while blowing into the microphone. That's right; it's a wind instrument.
The traditional ocarina is a member of a very old family of musical instruments, dating back at least 12,000 years, in China and Mesoamerica. The Smule iPhone Ocarina brings this millenia-old musical tradition into the 21st century.

These iPhones have so many applications I cant even keep up with. Is there a lie detection test application yet? That would be cool.

Don't think so but you reminded of a board game i saw at the store the other day. They have a moment of truth board game now, complete with handheld biometric lie detector. how crazy is that?

This was part of an idea i sent to the google contest for new inventions to help the world. I sent them a detailed description of a digital instrument that combines the technology of the iphone and many other technologies. I noted that Apple was the company i hoped would produce it, and detailed how a touch sensitive screen could be used as an instrument while utilizing a microphone as a wind controller! I hope the other details come to life soon!
