No rear view mirror? No side mirrors? No bumpers? No roll cage? No seat belt? No air bags? I'll take it!

I just don't think it'd sell.
This is a niche product, at best, like the segway.

Not much room for groceries, but OMG that thing is freaking awesome! Of course I would love one!
I wonder if the point of gravity is lower that a motorcycle? And if it's safe with the current vehicles that are on the road?

If you would ride this kind of vehicle today you would look like a freak!

how would being in an accident in this be any different from an accident on a motorcycle? looks safer to me.

I hope it comes in a "hefty" size, too.

A world filled with these instead of cars would be interesting. I hope this doesn't fail like the segway.

I can't wait until tech like this replaces cars in the city. Humans were never meant to drive. Don't believe me, go to WaWa without thinking "This guy infront of me only exists to piss me off at this very moment." Bet you can't do it.

I could see something like this being good for short distance transportation. I don't know if it would be to go anywhere that there are semi trucks, like on the highway.
This would be great for people who live in a big city and don't have to drive far to work. But if they live in a big city they can probably get easy access to good public transportation (and if they don't that city needs to work on its transportation infrastructure).

Honestly I’m tired of seeing concept cars (or transports as this one is called) in the news.
If anything I’d like to see them, oh I don’t know, out in the world. Then maybe I could get excited about the thing. The problem with all these concepts cars is that most are not economically feasible or practical. So, like I said, until I actually see them out on the streets I’m sticking with the car and the sector nine.

That's like the same size as a bicycle.
I wonder what the crash safety is like.
And, why not human power as well?
There's no need to go to the gym when you have to pedal on your way to work.

I hate when things come out like this, and it never becomes a reality. This is such a great idea. Sadly, next year we'll still be in gas guzzlers.

I believe in conserving energy but this contraption is too dangerous to use unless you live in a retirement community. Come on folks, we cannot jeopardize safety for a few gallons of gas. Would you drive this down an interstate?

It will be interesting to observe the revolution in human transportation taking place around us, one that better addresses the needs of an increasingly crowded and polluted world.

Looks like a more like a segway with a capsule and a seat, which is not a bad idea when you think about it.

This car is dope! It's too bad that the actual article even says, "There's no denying the Scarab is little more than a flight of fancy, a "What if ..." look into the future. Such a car would probably never be built".

Interesting design, but I wonder how durable it is on the road. I'm not sure how much of a crash it could survive (if at all).
