Does anybody remember that program with Andy Griffith, when he was a junk collector and had his own rocket which he used to retrieve and sell space junk?
I remeber it well...:)
Anybody got spare change? We can become a corporation and go into business collecting space junk! - 3 years ago

tho it would be pretty cool to say: i live in a space shuttle it would be bang zoom strate to the moon only thing is you'd have to look for an engine for it and good luck on ebay getting one of those for a space shuttle...

Maybe NASA should call Sarah Palin. She could sell the shuttles on e-bay!

What good is it without the main engines? If it had engines 42 million people could each contribute a buck then the people would own it and we could force the government to give free rides to everybody into space and undercut richard branson and his plans to charge big bucks to go into space tips only for rich people!

I wonder if NASA would mind accepting a check for that.

They would be display only. You need more than what they are selling to operate the shuttle. Sad but true.

We can turn that money into the trip of a lifetime!
If you had read the article, it does not come with it's main engines.

If they were to come up in an open auction I would willingly offer $100 for one if they were to transport it to my home in the UK in time for a brilliant christmas present for my grandkids
