Great until the part where they make fun of 9/11 conspiracy 'theories'. Then the writer became a sheep and sheep cant write in english so I stopped reading.

That was very well written. Media and Medium, in and of itself, is both a social norm and a state of consciousness.
wow---how obscure---obviously requires an essay not a sound bite---
but this is worth the read time!

I like this article, though for me personally it's a bit of a "duh" factor. No one socially interacts anymore... that's what it boils down to. The technology that has made us more connected than ever has actually isolated us in our own tiny corner of the World Wide Web blogosphere.

Most entertaining thing I've read in a while. I hope those who read it actually take it to heart. I know I'll try.

Everyone needs to have a rant sometimes, get some stuff off your chest.
Normally I cant stand people moaning, but this rant is great and needs to be heard

This was a long read but a GREAT one! It is so true, all of it. I am an older American and can appreciate that the youth of today is missing out on a lot. But at least my boys grew up with parties and friends and both parents. No real computers until just before College.
You will never replace human companionship. We used to date and the boys had to come in for inspection. My sons used to "hook up" which I hated. Computers/technology have changed our lives for the better but there has been a price for sure.
Its a lot easier to call someone a fag or idiot from this safe distance, lol. But we need that "community" of people...young, old, and all the in-between to make us feel, well, human.

while in principal I agree with you, I often find I would be much happier living in a world full of cats and parrots, vs a world filled with other people. But then, I'm in customer service :)
