From the producers of the 1UP Show comes CO-OP

The former producers of the 1UP Show and Gamevideos.com have banded together to create a new production house called Area 5. Their first show, CO-OP will review video games by real gamers for gamers. What sets them apart from other video game shows is their laid back and natural style. This first part of a two part episode features many of the industry big wigs and former EGM writers reuniting to discuss their favorite games of 2009. John Davison, Dan Hsu, Shane Bettenhausen, Greg Ford, Michael Donahoe, Giancarlo Varanini, Nick Suttner, Anthony Gallegos, Philip Kollar, Demian Linn, Andrew Fitch, Ryan Scott to name a few. All of them hash out what where there favs and why...no winners just the best of the best.

    • This is an extremely large cast of people, many of whom are writers and personalities who were recently laid off from Ziff Davis Media. Even I was shocked when I saw them file in through the door one by one in the video's opening.

      Some backstory: I think it was hard enough to deal with EGM, the video game magazine, shuttering on the eve of its 20th anniversary. It was an extra doozy to see the producers, cameramen, editors, and crew of the 1UP Show laid off, as well. But thanks in large part to the Internet's emotional and financial outpouring -- US$12k in all -- the boys are back from the ashes. Tremendous.
