There's the obvious PR-driven profiles (looking at you here, Coldplay) but the likes of Imogen Heap and Ben Kweller have really got stuck in (Heap even regularly using video micro-blogging site 12 Seconds TV) and there's something brilliant about how they openly converse with fans and answer questions personally without any record company filters.
Get stalki... ahem... following!

It can be a little underwhelming at first before a lot of friends get on. A good tip is to follow your favourite websites or bloggers for their latest updates and opinions or search for key words (i.e. your favourite band) and follow people who post interesting things about them.
Current's on Twitter, if you're interested. ;-)

I have been invited to stalk . . . ummm . . . I mean "follow" some of my favorite musicians! HA! It's kinda fun! The particular musician I am referencing literally posted on his blog to stalk him! ; ) LOL!

So basically, Twitter is a bunch of people simultaneously texting each other? This new form of illiteracy (abbreviated non-english text-speak) really makes me nauseous. I think I'll steer clear from things like Twitter if the above is an example of the way "Twitterers" communicate.

And there's a whole host of dance music types on there now. From the award-winning podcast generals Hospital Records (@hospitalrecords) and their CEO, Tony Colman (@LondonElek) to UK dance music legend DJ Zinc (@djzinc) to the editor of one the UK's largest dance music magazines (@kmag_colin).
The list above truly is a veritable feast of musical Twitter delights.
