What about static insulation? Is there a risk of destroying your hard drive with static with this design?
Actually, maybe less so than with a metal case... hmm hmm hmm...

I don't understand how all those "trash" computers don't get gutted for their working parts and then re-assembled into working computers.
I mean, there are thousands of free computers there waiting to be put together, even if they are dated.

Its silly to think you could use cardboard but the beauty in this is the design. You could just as easy use recycled cheap plastic from soda bottles and I for one would purchase this case not because its SAVING THE PLANET (I,m sick of hearing this). This PC case is simple easy and cheap.

I'm a graphic designer... No CS4 on Linux with out emulating another OS so whats the point... When the real world excepts Linux maybe it'll be worth a damn... (Yes, I know all the advantages to Linux)

So, really, you could make a computer out of almost anything?
That is awesome, and I like the shape of the cardboard. - 3 years ago

While on the Kucinich campaign, our video tech guy built a computer inside of a fish tank filled with veggie oil as a coolant, and did away with the fans and heat sinks entirely.

Amazing idea. One problem though - isn't cardboard flammable?

yeah, but if you keep everything running normally it shouldn't be a problem. Now if your a real dare devil try overclocking this thing and see what happens.

That is so cool... It really shows, in a slightly extreme way, the direction we can move with our consumable products... It would probably be even more green to just use an injection molding type technique with recycled paper pulp to build better and possibly stronger case...While some of the working parts are still using plastic that is all he really has to work with right now... In the future we can rethink those individual components to use 100% recyclable materials... A combination of design like this and apples new unibody aluminum and glass screen laptops will unlock the key to a more earth friendly wave of electronic products... If it can be done with a computer the idea can be applied to most other electronics... Awesome... Kudos to you good man!
