Second 'Google phone' is unveiled

Google's venture into the world of mobile phones got another boost today, as the second handset running their operating system, Android, has been launched by Vodafone at the MWC conference in Barcelona.

The HTC Magic boasts a 3.2 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and GPS, but, alas, no slide-out keyboard like the original 'Google phone,' HTC's 'G1' which was launched exclusively on T-Mobile late last year.

Think Google can take on Apple with their new phones? I've had a little go on one of the G1s and I have to admit, I bloody liked it. An that's coming from a die hard iPhone fan...
