Toyota is looking to a greener future with dreams of a superefficient plug-in hybrid with a bioplastic body made of seaweed that could be in showrooms within 15 years.

    • imagine the road passing you by underneath your feet. now that would be a rush; a visual confirmation of how fast you are really going. i could see myself stepping into this car to go for a drive. what a ride. with nothing to hide it might prevent more accidents since you can see through it from one side to the other. lol. cool.

    • Getting hung up on the outward appearance of a vehicle? ITS A CAR. Point A to point B folks, keep it between the mustard and mayo. I hope ALL cars are ugly and efficient by the time I can afford one.

    • I'm sure that eventually we'll see other car manufacturers come up with better designs. Toyota is right now the hybrid king, but they are generally not known for their beautiful car design. So, we'll see, I for one wait for the Europeans...

    • Easy now... I like the design. When you think that with hybrids, coefficient of drag is the leading design force behind the shapes they take, you will see that form follows function. I, for one, see beauty in efficient forms. But that's that's just me...

    • Why are all these hybrid car people so lacking in style?
The thing looks like a six year old designed it.
