A 16 year old girl from Essex has been fired from her job after describing her office job as boring in a remark on Facebook. Details of Kimberley Swann's posting were passed on to her employers who had access to her facebook page.

The girl from Clacton says she was not given the chance to explain her remarks to bosses at Ivell Marketing & Logistics and was simply handed a letter explaining she was having her employment terminated with "immediate effect".

The owner of the business, Mr Ivell said "Ivell Marketing is a small, close-knit family company and it is very important that all the staff work together in harmony...Had Miss Swann put up a poster on the staff notice board making the same comments and invited other staff to read it there would have been the same result."

    • "a small, close-knit family company". that is such a stupid reason, the company should have been more concerned with why one of their employees was unhappy and didn't have enough to do if they're so "close knit"
