Macbook modding - Apple logo converted to second monitor

mattbrawn
As if a Macbook isn't sexy enough, some guys have modded theirs so the Apple logo on the back of the screen acts as a second monitor. Albeit just a really, really small, practically useless one.

Regardless of how pointless it is, you can't deny it's pretty freakin' cool.

    • Yeah, Eddie Zarick's logo mod has been featured all over Gizmodo, Wired, Engadget... and so on.. that's a sweet video too.. I can't believe it only sold for 1000$ on Ebay.

    • HOLD'UP!!!

I own a Mac and anyone that does know that if you are sitting facing a window with sunlight directly shining in and your working on your computer (the back of the screen facing window) then the light shines through creating as mirrored version of the apple logo on the screen.

Sorry to disappoint everyone but that video is clearly a con, I could duplicate the same affect using my camera.

      Ingredients:
      1x camera
1x prerecorded footage of you waving and some iTunes visuals
Then place the cameras screen on your Mac's screen where the Apple logo would appear on the other side and simply push play on the camera.

After a few rehearsals (synchronizing waving hand movements to make believe) you too will be ready to record your own prankster Youtube movie.

HOW EVER... Not a bad concept, definitely worth exploring actually implementing a similar feature on future Mac's. If you like it then email Mac with your support for such a feature to be investigated, like a petition say.

      Peace out xXx
