I know, I know, Best Buy has always been screwing their customers over.
But!...There is a recall on Best Buys Insignia "house brand" 26'' LCTV26 HDTV. Due to a small little bitty malfunction that causes the power supply to catch on fire. The TV's themselves cost between $900-$1000, but Best Buy thinks its customers will be cool with a $500 gift card to replace their set. A gift card which, unlike store credit, sales tax must be paid on.
The moral of this story, you get what you pay for. And, never shop at Best Buy.
