The sound of Swine Flu

So everyone and their mum are talking about swine flu, but not everybody is making music about it, apart from Stephan Zielinski of San Francisco, who instead of fearing and panicking about it, has used it as inspiration for a song, and no it's not 3 Little Piggies

Using the genetic sequences of the virus' two key viral proteins, hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N) the bandwagon-jumping music maker took their genetic sequences and made an algorithm to make it into music. Using a combination of self-built and commercial software he made his track by "assigning instruments and musical notes to various properties of the protein."

He also explained how: "Although the map is there and you can even make a song out of it, we can't explain it to these itty bitty little cells in body,"

Still, at least we can listen to it without any side affects. And before you ask, it's not Three Little Piggies... http://bit.ly/ZYY7b
