Who would have thought this is a clock? Well the red dot is the hour hand and the white hand is the minute hand, but how does it do this?
The cup and plate don't come as part of the package, it uses whichever receptacle you so choose. It is controlled by two rotating magnets. The Water Clock, by designer Kouichi Okamoto, doesn't come cheap at $299 (£195).

Wouldn't be very good as a bedside clock though would it? What if you wake up in the night and mistake it for your glass of water??
Plus, where's the alarm...
