The vehicle--designed like a horse--can climb steep grades and even navigate rocks and boulders. Best part, it finds its own fuel. Using a built-in GPS system, the horse seeks out vegetation which it then consumes and converts to fuel
It can also transform that same energy to its rider. Not sure how that works. Maybe like bird regurgitation? I don't know but it just sounds kinda gross.

Not really sure why some think this is creepy?? we ride around in weird vehicles already, this would be a step toward natural design in our automobiles that somewhat mimics nature.. I wouldn't mind trying one out!

This looks like a wishful thinking mock-up. but even if it worked, the Borg horse is no replacement for the real thing. It looks more like a sabertooth lion.

Isn't anyone concerned that the horse-shaped machine is "eating" vegetation that actual organisms may desperately need? Seems a little ridiculous to me... Kind of a cool sci-fi toy, but impractical and wasteful of the resources the actual inhabitants of the area the "horse" is built to traverse need.

I don't know, sure beats a loud, gas sucking ATV ripping up the terrain.

but if it eats things such as weed or poison oak I think that could be a good thing, it could clean up the forest floor and help prevent forest fires...

Maybe we could use them when we explore other planets. I always loved the space western genre of movies. Very cool.

What's with tech trying to replace things that work perfectly well. Don't use a robot, just get a friggen horse.

but some people can't house a horse, if it is a fake horse they can keep it in their garage or driveway and it wouldn't be cruel. Plus I grew up with horses and they can be expensive to care for!

Definitely intriguing. I would love to have one if it's a real deal. I love horses but definitely could never afford to keep one.
