It does look good, i know that electric bikes are being developed all over the plac at the moment.
The problem is range. Electric cars have the same problem, they can be fast and zero emission but only do 50 miles between charges. And then a ful charge takes 8 hours.
Not very handy really unless you live in a city and don't go anywhere out of that city
