Robert Scoble took some great videos of what's new and cool in Office 2010... nice to see these tools in motion, rather than the million other static write-ups I've read today!

    • Our users are just starting to adopt Office 2007. Hopefully the learning curve won't be as severe as it was from 2003 to 2007. I'm generally not fan of Microsoft but Office 2007 is pretty sweet and 2010 doesn't look too bad either (despite the horrible video, why no desktop capture?). The competetion from OpenSource software drove them to make some good innovations. I didn't know they were going to make light weight versions for web apps either, that's pretty cool.

    • I'm a Microsoft fanboy, I'll admit it. But because I know that, I try to be extra harsh on Microsoft whenever I can, to try and even things out a bit. That being said...

Office is one of the few apps that, though it does has some problems, is an absolute winner on the document suites contests. The years of experience MS has had in this market are apparent. And even though I love Google docs, Office really just has more powerful features.

I would love to see Google respond to this with a sweet new Office sweet of their own to keep Microsoft on its toes.

I'm excited to see how this all goes down!
