Apple’s App Store hits an impressive milestone

Today, Apple’s App Store surpassed 1.5 billion downloads only three months since they announced going over the 1 billion mark.

    • In the 1st nine months, the Apple app store had about 1 billion downloads. In the next 3 months, it got another 500 million downloads.

      Interpolating the exponential curve out, I can predict Apple will reach ~30 billion downloads within 5 years, and a quarter Trillion downloads within ~10 years.

      Within ~15 years, the number of downloads will surpass the U.S. national debt :) and finally after 50 years,.... well.... nevermind.

      Yea Apple rules.
