The summer sun can be our best friend -- it makes us forget all about those horrid winter days and nights -- but it can also be a hazard. UV radiation could be frying you like bacon and you wouldn't know it. The UV Monkey can change all that though.
This small key ring changes colour when placed in direct sunlight, giving an indication of how strong the sun's rays are. The colour that appears in the centre of the UV Monkey can be matched to one of the four colours labelled around it. The device also lets you know how well solar powered items might work in certain areas.
Just match the color changing center to one of the four matching color references on the outer ring to see if the sun is set for low cook or for full broil that day. This UV gauge also serves double duty and can even be used to determine the light level to see how well solar powered equipment might work in a particular area.
If you want to know whether you're going to sizzle today, tommorow, or at anytime te sun is out, the you can buy the UV Monkey from ThinkGeek for $9.99 (approx £6.15).
