I am an almost vegan for 1 1/2 years and eat mostly local.
I also have discovered I need to eat less wheat to feel good so am following a gluten free diet.
..right away i started loosing fat that was stubbornly sitting on my middle. I also sold my car and try to bike walk and use public transport. Back in school finishing up BS Business Degree Internships in Green Business Development...so feel great..good for the earth...good to my animal friends...not a bad deal.

Acording to the caluculator my raw foods diet comes out at zero waste, now I know that's not true and the caluculator doesn't calulate everything in the equation but that sure makes it look good.

Well...yes. In terms of a carbon footprint, eating locally grown produce and NO MEAT is the way to go.

No, you do not have to go Vegan; but it will save you on pocket change because you will not have to go into the grocery store aisles for other foods..............which is where most of the impulse buying is done........
