Leave it to the Japanese to come up with the awesomest inventions - the Bowlingual Voice is a the latest gadget out of Japan and it analyses the acoustics of a dog's bark to translate them into human words.
It's claimed the gadget, which is a microphone placed around the dog's neck along with a hand-held unit operating device, can detect 6 emotions. When the dog barks, the microphone records the sound and sends the data to the owner's hand-held device which then "translates" it into what the dog is apparently trying to say.
The original Bowlingual didn't talk - it just translated emotions onto a screen. The new and improved version will go on sale for £129 in Japan next month.

This is pretty cool, though I wonder how well the actual models will work. If its anything like the movie Up! I'm totally getting one for a dog that I will have to adopt.

That actually sounds logical. People who have owned dogs for a long time usually knows what the dog wants according to its barking.
This might be good for fresh dog owners.
