I read a new horror story article about Facebook's privacy policis. The last one was that Facebook is using member's photos to sell products in their advertisements. That one wasn't so bad, but the one about keeping data active even after you cancel your membership has me worried.
Found_avenue may have a point. I canceled my Friendster membership last year after I realized I had some personal info there and I'm considering cancelling my Facebook under my real name and going under an alias.
BTW what's Current's membership base? There's no way they can be bigger than Digg.

And with sites like BuzzFeed and Current... unless something changes, Digg is going to become the next MySpace.

Never heard of Friendster! Myspace isn't going anywhere it's still just as popular as it ever was!!! You must be looking too far into little things & the wrong people! MySpace held like 10 HUGE concerts & events recently & those were pretty much sold out instantly! MySpace has musician pages,7 more artist these days are using Myspace as their main artist page! Record companies are now looking to MySpace to find not only new acts, but new ways to sell music,as people are too lame these days to actually by CDs!!! MySpace is just as cool as ever! I have FaceBook too,but if you've heard ANY of what people are saying there,a lot of people think MySpace is better, but then maybe a new group of sites will be fallowing the social networks! take for example : http://greencowz.wackwall.com/ Okay...So that IS mine ,& it just started up,but ANYTHING is better then twitter!!!

Yes, and next year Facebook will be the new MySpace.
Don't waste your time with social networking, people - all you're doing is providing the government with more information to fill in that database entry with your name on it.

I don't know many people still using Myspace. That's not to say nobody is, because obviously the numbers are still there... I just think Facebook works better and once people try it out it starts to make more sense... plus, there's the trendy factor.
