Aside from standing on its own as a neat piece of DIY tech, the idea of visualizing words and sentences as music is kind of mind-bending. Think of it the other way--what does the melody to Beethoven's 9th Symphony look like in words?

    • clever! Many people have done related things such as the Somachillintipchipchrippy (Yes ! That's the real name of an instrument!) But it's just a neat concept!

    • I had an idea to write a program for a computer that does this (I'm sure there are others). I would write mine so that all letters are in a certain scale, but the scale shifts based on certain combinations of the shift key and other keys. That way it would be more melodic but could randomly produce some very interesting melodies.
