Sky TV have confirmed their launching 3D TV next year. The service will use existing Sky+HD set-top-boxes but customers will be required to buy a compatible 3D TV set and... silly glasses!

The broadcaster has also announced their new 'pull' video-on-demand (VoD) service.

What's that? Well, at the moment they have a service called Anytime that sends programmes that Sky choose to customers Sky+ and Sky+HD boxes. Viewers can then tune into these shows at a time that suits them. This is known as 'push' VoD. The new service will utilise a broadband connection instead of satellite - to allow viewers to request shows of their choosing instead.
