Channel 4HD to launch on Virgin Media

As a proud Virgin Media customer I'm glad they're finally pulling their finger out with HD and getting some channels to beat Sky with:

"ESPN HD is arriving on Virgin Media in just days, but hot on its heels is Channel 4HD, which will be available to all HD subscribers at no extra cost, whenever “Coming soon” is on Richard Branson’s calendar - likely this year though given how close to its chest Virgin Media has kept recent announcements.

That’s on top of 4oD, and BBC iPlayer HD already available on the service, so unless you really need 3D TV in your life, Virgin Media’s rapidly catching up with Sky, and even besting it. Now all we need is Channel 4 to commit to Project Canvas and we’ll be spoiled for choice. "

WIth any luck we'll soon have choice like in the US where HD cable channels are plentiful.
