Nintendo’s DSi Security Sucks – Already Cracked and Homebrewed

brownie4590
The Nintendo DSi 1.4 update not only brought Facebook integration, but it also blocked the use of R4 cartridges, one of the favorite ways to load pirated software/homebrew on the DSi or DS. Well, it doesn’t seem to have done that good of a job as the OS has already been cracked, according to this video.

Watch as this guy loads up R4i on his DSi, which appears to be running the 1.4 firmware. Your go, Nintendo.

    • Nintendo have a massive problem with piracy tha they don't seem to be able to recitfy.

I think their main problem is the popularity of their consoles and games in Japan and China - also the place where a majority of the hacks originate.

Looks like there is no easy solution but then again this is a problem that affects all its competitors bar Sony's PS3 which they just can't hack (at the moment)
