Dear HipHop Fam,
When the crack epidemic struck America in the mid 80's, the spotlight was on the dying users, foreign suppliers, American dealers and kingpins. American declared war on drugs and those involved. Yet no one seem to address those transporting or turning a blind eye to the importation of crack into America.
In media today, transparency has afforded us glimpses of the behind the scene lives of those prosecuted and not prosecuted. So who helped traffic in the crack? Why weren't they prosecuted? I guess there isn't that much transparency where it really matters. We are flooded who is married to whom and who's having a baby by whom, but we can't keep up with drugs, guns, money and now fighter jets being that are being sold on the black market...
