LG has just introduced their new X130 netbook which has a hefty 9 cell battery in it. This model will replace their X110 which only had a 3 cell battery in it. LG claims that this upgrade will allow up to 12 hours of battery life, but could this be? Maybe not – the 3 cell battery in the X110 only lasted about 2 hours 5 minutes, meaning the 9 cell would only last around 6 hours and 15 minutes, which is extremely far from the 12 hour claim. LG still claims the X130 will last for 12 hours, which seems unlikely in the real world, and video playback is quoted at seven and a half hours, which seems too good to be true.
