This is what I call hyper news designed to attract a specific audience and give them the impression that Muni is a green institution.
It is a form of PR coverup! SFMTA-Muni it is not a green government institution! The truth is that they have been since 2001 trespassing and invading people homes in San Francisco with unwanted noise.
How much money do you think it costs to install and maintain all these noise equipments that destroys inhabitants quality of life?
The fares never go down and just keep going up! Maybe they should consider fixing their health and environmental mistakes first before doing anything else!

I like this idea. Very progressive. I liked the Connected Green Buses that MUNI has introduced on some of their lines. It would be awesome to be able to connect to the internet on my laptop while I wait for the bus but.....
...there is the problem with the fact that there is already such a huge budget problem for public transportation in SF so why are we spending money to implement this? My pass just went up $10 per month to $55 and on top of that they are cutting services. So now I get less and pay more for less. I would rather just pay $45 a month and not get any cool new MUNI stops. Just give me the little board that tells me how soon my bus will be there so I don't have to call 311.

These new bus stops look nicer than the older ones. But have they not thought about their budget deficit?! This will increase fare even more &more people will get their electronics stolen. How about having more Next Muni notices in bus stops &bigger roofs to shield us from the rain instead.

Can't wait for this to become available. Free wifi for people who can't afford a car or a laptop.

I just saw one of these at 16th and Mission! I was wondering what was up with the new look... cool I guess.. but I'd rather pay less to ride, my monthly fast pass is now $55, it was $45 last month. booo.

maybe next muni can master some roofs that actually shield occupants from the rain.

Um... Handheld devices, iPod Touch, Nintendo DS, etc. That still use Wi-Fi, everyone wants progress, but everyone is so effin pessimistic about everything. I would rather see technology advance and be in more places, then to be some half-assed modern day Luddite hypocrite who only knows how to use a computer when they need to check an e-mail. This is great progress, and we really need to see free wi-fi funded by the gov, in public places.Almost everything is on the net now, we need this stuff.

What is the point? You are getting up to connect and oppss there comes your bus. Oh no! someone grab my laptop! Let us get real! How much money the Muni expend on shooting up the population with noise? Beep! Beep! Beep! Zing! Air compression shoots, Quack Quack on the speaker! You are paying for!

YEAH RIGHT!!!!
I work in SF, and to think that SF/Muni would spend their money on something like this would insight the population to riots. You see, Muni has been running its ship in a bad way,..especially w/ money. Every year they are sued for millions by someone hit by a bus driver at fault. There is no money for this,...so i call this B.S. - 2 years ago
