Use Snow Leopard to Turn Your Mac into a DVR

With the screen recorder, you can capture not just the UI, but also internal sound and moving video at full screen. (Yes, that includes Hulu.) And then you can easily take that file and move it your iPhone.

There's a detailed tutorial and video so that you can see the resulting quality. This is dead simple to do, but has some drawbacks. For instance, the system captures sound from the video and the mic, so if there is any external noise, it will end up on the video. You can always set it up in a quiet room for a while. And there are already some Apple lovers looking for ways around this.

If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind bootleg movies with people getting up for popcorn in the middle and random laughter, this aspect probably won't bother you. Those looking for DVD-quality archives will have to look elsewhere.
