Have you been contemplating purchasing an Apple TV? Well, your decision might be a little bit easier now that the price of the 160GB model has dropped by $100 to $229.

Apple didn’t just lower the price of the largest capacity Apple TV, they also quietly removed the 40GB Apple TV option from the site completely.

    • The apple tv has got to be the dumbest thing apple has ever tried to hock off on it's customers.

Go get a mutimedia enclosure, or heck, buy a multimedia enclosure already setup. iomega makes a 1TB tv interface for $230. If all your looking for is the ability to playback (non-DRM) movies you've downloaded or backed up digitally (save the shelf space!).

Apple tv is basically apples excuse to sell rental movies in itunes.
