Franklin Gothic is my personal choice, I find its the easiest to read given my vision impairments. But I don't know about its availability on the web.

lol. Well done Sarah. Now if only Helvetica was a free font. aha.
Bot i suppose the greatest things are never free.
Lots of great free(&/or shareware) clones out there however...

Heywaitaminute!
Aren't you that Sarah who used to be on that show with the guys who talked about tech stuff on that channel for tech stuff that changed it's name and has that really tall woman who reviews video games with a balding guy on a show about video games?
Because if you are, then it's good to see you back on television! And, I prefer Papyrus font. Unless it's for serious discussion, and then it's Times Roman.

Nice vid!
Now I know how to pronounce Helvetica right too. I always said hel-ve-TEE-ca
I've even tried to copy-paste other fonts in my replies just for the fun of it, no luck, except the mirrored effect. - 2 years ago

Helvetica, Originally called Die Neue Haas Grotesk later changed to Helvetica derived from Confoederatio Helvetia, the Latin name for Switzerland in order to make it more marketable internationally.
According to the Movie...
Worth the watch it is pretty interesting if you are a designer or just design lover. If not skip it. may bore mere mortals to tears.
So to the post below.... yeah we actually give a shit about a lot of shit. We are designers

Kind of like the modern monk doing illuminated scripts...Helvetica is God. And the rebel only needs to use a different font. Devil, I mean.

This is an awesome post and kind of serendipitous since I just watched the move Helvetica like a wee ago after having it in my Netflix cue since Watch Instantly came out.
I love Helvetica and never really knew why. Just always like the spacing and negative ground properties and ease of readability... then I saw the movie "Duh" I'm a New Yorker living in Hawaii for the last 25 years. I was missing my Subway signs. Hello, Brain Fart.
Thanks again Sarah log time fan of yours TechTV.
