The Show was overbooked, many people
more Sellers than Buyers (agent with Cellular phone pictures bussy)
starting to think about CO2 tax one day ?
Why Solar - Cleantech Yachts now ?
the simple answer, good weather, sunshine, yacht show
a lot of Diesel pollution in the Air, also from stationary
Aircondition Containers for the Show rooms.
The port has to get a clean place with yachts filtering
Diesel and on-board real waste water treatment
to keep the beautiful Riviera clean for Swimmers
How does a Solar Yacht produce money ?
Well with the coming "Obama smart grid",
not only electric cars or Solar PV roofs
deliver to the grid electricity. Also Yachts
with big surface plug-in the port smart grid and
deliver Electricity if batteries full. Most of
the year anyway they are in the port in the
Sun. Additional Range extenders do the long
Range, or better the Hydrogen combustion
or Fuel cell Yacht with Zero emission.
Can luxury contribute to Environment ?
It has, the money is here for prototypes
look at the Solar Floating Island Yacht
from Hermes & Wally, a Monaco Initiative.
Today the Solar electric shuttle boat
brings the Cruiseship guests to Monaco.
Carbon compensated Yacht show Monaco
The concept is interesting, but could not
yet convince me, every year a new project
for Renewables in China or so, not to control;
no local Initiative for neighboring Africa with
online progress video reports for the population
hit most by climate change.
Credit crisis ?
