iPod Nano is "Japanese pervert's weapon of choice"

It's unfortunate for Apple, that their iPod Nano has been getting bad press. First there was the story of US gyms banning the product, due to vouyeuristic activities, then, Kobe news reported late last week, the arrest of a Japanese man using the Nano to film up an 18-year-old's skirt.

The man, a resident of Kobe, Japan, hid the device in his shoe while 'browsing' around in a bookstore. Someone noticed his suspicious activity and he was arrested.

T3.com visited the www.fuckedgaijin.com messageboards, where one members stated:

"Giving a country like Japan a small, easily concealable video camera is like giving a 5 year old fireworks.

"It should have become clear by now that unreasonable proportion of Japanese men can't control themselves from doing perverted and voyeristic acts and that putting out such devices in Japan is like add fuel to the fire."
