Yeah maybe if it's stolen or a Chinese auto. The truth is that a standard WASR-10 (semi-auto AKM style rifle) is about $600. Unless you are dealer these rifles run from the cheapest $500 used to over $18,000. This is a SEMI auto, one bullet comes out with a trigger pull.
The $200 aks that people are speaking of are probably stolen or illegally imported in from china. These rifles are most likely full auto, and highly against the law like mandatory sentence of 10 years kind of illegal.
Maybe instead of comparing them to playstations, people should compare their cost in Africa to a bag of rice or their equivalent cost. Ak's usually only cost $8-25 to manufacture.
I can see how these firearms can be used to protect or to hurt. Just know that any rules that may be put against the people will only affect those who choose to follow the law, not those who commit crimes against you. The fact is that the gang culture that has sprung up only glamorizes these men and their terrible deeds. It’s good to see a musician who goes against the grain, and tells of the disparity in our nation.
