    • This is pretty funny considering I literally JUST got back onto Last.fm for the first time in a while - like she said, I always scrobble, but haven't really participated on the site. This sounds rad, though!

      Btw Last.fm peeps, I'm shantr0n =)

    • I use last.fm religiously. I scrobble everything. I use the last.fm radio to discover new music. last.fm is huge internationally but just didn't do so well in the states -- at least not yet. Add in iTunes and MySpace music and it completes my music world.

    • Yeah Deerhoof!

But since I don't own a computer, or an mp3 player, I'm old fashioned and listen to CDs on a stereo system, or in my car, or, I listen to vinyl on a turntable, plugged into the stereo system.

And I don't care about my "listening stats." I usually listen to the same CD or disc over and over and over until I've committed it all to memory, and then put it up on the shelf, and never listen to it again for years to come.

I'm old school/poor and using a computer at the library.

    • Good to know, but I hope they do a better job with their TV channel videos than the videos that they have on their site. When I look for a video by an artist I find a few but find more of some kid playing a cover or some girl dancing to the song on a web cam. I wish it was just the artist not scraps from youtube.

    • Thanks for all the comments, peeps! Interesting that the trend seems to be that many of us *like* Last.fm but have sort of fallen off the usage map... will be interesting to see how next year goes for them!

    • I used Last.fm a lot, but only for a few things. I do like to have all my music being tracked, so I can look back and see what I listened to the most when. I also have discovered a few really good bands through their recommendations system. I don't really care if a band is brand new or not, I just want to find bands that I would like to listen to, regardless of how long they've been around. Last.fm introduced me to the Kaiser Chiefs, who I like a lot, and the Zutons, who have become one of my favorite bands.

    • Whoever that was listens to decent music. I haven't used Last.fm in years.

And WTF? Web-enabled HDTVs? When did the standard become TVs that hook up to the internet? I'm way behind. I only have on HD and it's not even FULL HD.

    • I'm with you on never checking my lastfm. I think my last wall post is from about two years ago.

But those new developments - the radio station and the TV channel - are kind of exciting.
