Computer Contact Lenses Could Display Data On Your Eyes

would you eyes be afected by the radiation being that close

so is it some thing that pouple with out glasses coud use

how much will something like this cost anyway?????

i wounder how ppl will be able to focus on it. i mean ppl have a hard time focusing on something only a few inches in front of there eyes how will they focus when there in contact with it?

yeah... if you have problems w/ contacts... then I'd just stick with glasses - for the rest of us, this looks to be fantastic!!!

What could be the main use for this type tech. and how could it help or hurt the user

I think this is the craziest invention to be prototyped so far. Knowing that there are people driving on the road while texting and not paying attention is scary enough but having people who are surfing the net while driving and....a bit more scary.

Very cool, hopefully we'll see more steps in this awesome direction. I just think it would be so damn cool to have an integrated HUD for daily life. Long ways away until we'll actually see it being used, but still awesome.

This is also impossible seeing as your eyes can only focus at .4 inches from your pupil. For example try to read this screen or any piece of paper less then a half an inch away.

Agh, it's happening... We are all slowly being transformed into cyborgs. I much prefer my eyeballs in their current state, sans-computers.

I forsee many people running into things because they were looking stuff up while walking or driving.

I already wear contacts, if they had prescription data lenses. I would be all over that

when these go on sale, I'll buy the glasses version.

I know some of you folks think this is the greatest thing in the world. I myself think this is one step closer to the mind control that the goverment whats. Things like this can do a world of good . How ever I see a lot of evil coming from it also. There is something in me that says this is wrong. I don't know how to explane it but this just gives me the willies. To much like a brain inplant. But like I said for those that like it and can't wait for it to be main stream more power to you. Just hope that it does you no harm.

There are other more important stories that Current users have been trying to get featured for a while now. It's frustrating to be seeing repeats.

I of course will not be happy about any of this until I can use them find fugitive replicants on Mars. Sometimes the big picture is more important.

calpal, i generally dont find them that much of a hassle, yes on occasion they hurt like a bitch, but for the most part you forget you have even got them in, and having a heads up display i think would be really cool, showing the date, time and other such bollocks that you usually need. a compass would be great! can you imagine that? a self orientating compass, it would help explorers navigate seamlessly! i feel like a lightbulb has just been lit up over my head!

This technology actually scares me. Equipping the general public with this type of technology is a great idea. Condisering that public schools have dropped the national average. We edge closer to a world of "Idiocracy."

If anyone actually uses contacts, you'd know it is a b**ch to put them in your eyes, no matter how advanced they make them; it's just impossible to make it any more easier to put them in your eyes, and if you got dirt on them while trying to put them in, well, that hurts like hell...

In my honest opinion, we shouldn't try using display on contacts, just because of how annoying they are... I would actually recommend glasses over contacts regarding displaying data... besides you could fit more data on glasses.
