Twitter's homepage has changed to red and features a link to the charity Red's feed together with the line "1 Dec is World Aids day. Help turn Twitter (Red). Follow @JoinRED to find out how."
Add #red to a tweet and it'll appear in red. Unless you use Power Twitter on Firefox like me, in which case you'll wonder what all the fuss is about.
Facebook's also getting involved by encouraging members to change their profile pictures to a (Red) logo as well as share a video about the low cost of the treatments it takes to keep patients with HIV alive.
And though Google.com is promoting World Aids Day on their homepage,
Google.co.uk, which has celebrated events such as the anniversary of Sesame Street and Halloween, hasn't made any changes for the day.
