Ignore Punisher, he's a clown. Besides, if this is of the Islamic Republic's doing...then this could be the beginning of cyberterrorism.

I question whether this was done by Iranians or Americans trying to make the Iranians look bad. IF it was done by Iranians it was probably by a bunch of computer geeks like we have in this country. IMO there is near 0% chance that this was sponsored by the Iranian government.

Twitter's Jason Goldman (@goldman):
"Twitter's DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We will update with more information soon."
This is a DNS hijacking.

So if you support the Cyber Army you're supporting those that were against any protest held in Iran over their election. Maybe people should understand who they "support" before doing so based on a lackluster name.

It may be about who they are talking to. Remember it's probably not you. There are protests expected in Iran. The protesters use twitter to organize. Hacking the site looks to me like an attempt to frighten the protestors into compliance. Like when the mafia sends you pictures of your sleeping children or leaves a horses head in your bed. Pure terror tactic.

Ok, ifg they hacked something important, like google, or current, or found a way to get the nuclear lauch codes, then I would be worried, but apart from the fact that I find it hard that this is actually the Iranians ( what with the Gmail account) they only hacked Twitter! Does achmamembersonlyjacket really need to tell the world what he had for lunch that badly?
