Most of the cool things you can do in a guitar have to do with the way you interact with the strings. Buy a real guitar, you ain’t gonna get chicks with this toy.

No, no no no no...
I'm not liking this stringless guitar at all. I prefer my 6-string guitar, thank you very much.
There's a song that comes to mind, with certain lyrics standing out:
"...But something touched me deep inside,
The day that music died"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNdEu9s5qUU
Maybe I'm just over-reacting, since my dad and I play 6-strings, and he's also getting back into making guitars (he's finishing one that's been in the making for 25 years!)...
Having said all that, I'm guessing this will most appeal to people who played guitar hero :P

The Misa isn’t made to replace traditional guitars, rather to create electronic music. There are 144 buttons on the neck that can be pressed with the left hand, and you can tap points on the touch screen to interact with digital music software. Since it’s a MIDI controller, it can play any instrument sounds you have stored on your computer. Cool!
No word on pricing for the Misa, but if you’re interested in buying one, you can contact them here.http://www.misadigital.com/purchase.html

So it's like a Kaospad with a neck & midi technology??? Hmmm...I use a lot of crazy technology I am just waiting for something like this that's like a Sitar or Koto! Koto would be awesome as a digital instrument! Designing a digital Koto though would take more knowledge of the Koto & of technology then what I have! I'm all for weird instruments! I'd love to know the price of this!

I'm a musician, and I've been looking for something exactly like this for a while now. -This item is bogus. On their site, they say that they will list the price in 24-48 hours. FROM WHEN? There's no date of when that is posted.
http://www.yourockguitar.com/ - this is another site that has been offering a similar product for almost 2 years now. But you can't buy it...you can pre-order it though.
They want you to pre-order something that's too good to be true, and without a dead-line on when it will be available.
Don't believe the hype. It's all a scheme. A very cleaver scheme. - 2 years ago

It really wouldn't be hard to build. Any nerd with an Arduino should be able to build you one in a weekend.
