Genetic engineering: The world's greatest scam?

JanforGore
I will answer that question with a resounding YES. GMOs are the greatest scam foisted upon the people of this world. It is the most crucial environmental and social issue of this century and encompasses health, economy, environment (climate change), soil health, biodiversity, and our very lives, as well as our freedom. And the word is getting out and more people are fighting back. This year is the year to say NO MORE GMOs and fight for true food freedom and sovereignty! We do have the power to take back our food with our votes, with our voices, and most importantly with our dollars.

Take that Monsanto!

BTW, this is a great informative video explaining it in three minutes.

Too bad the US media is so complicit in keeping people ignorant to the real threats to their health and freedom. Thankfully there are organizations picking up the slack for their irresponsibility.

    • And take a look at what drug companies make that GM insulin. The ones who help Monsanto make a profit from foods that may well be bringing on diabetes. I actually think it is sad that we spend more money on the insulin than actually working to keep people healthy to begin with. There are also natural ways to overcome diabetes, mainly through diet. But of course, that isn't lucrative enough.

    • I agree, Genetically Modified foods presupposes that these puny little men behind Monsanto and other companies are greater than Mother Nature and God - it's my opinion those puny little men believe in neither.

The truth seems to be that the only reason to genetically modify food crops is for the purpose of increasing and making profits, money. The risk? Just as JanforGore said, maybe our life's and our species.

Look at what happens throughout history when puny little men think too much of themselves: we tampered with foods in the last century and had some success, then something happens we didn't foresee or expect and bam! Was it the 1950's we thought we fixed low crop yields in Africa or somewhere only to have the locusts eat the crops resulting in people starving to death? The Titanic! Arrogant puny little men who think themselves more than they are and who lack a functional moral compass.

Woha, that's a little too general. Genetic engineering has done some good things too. Human insulin production comes to mind. Although, we probably wouldn't need as much of it if the food in the US didn't suck, uh oh this is starting to backfire...

But seriously, good things have happened as a result of GE, but GM food is not one of them.
