The Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicle: a Closer Look

    • It's good to see that electric cars are actually getting reasonably good but until we begin to make greener forms of electricity (wave, wind, hydro etc.) I personally don't see the functionality of these cars. I am also interested to see how they will stack up against hydrogen fuel cell cars in terms of efficiency and pollution.

      We've been making wind and hydro power for quite a while. It would be nice if 100% of the federal stimulus money spent on wind turbines was spent domestically ... I saw a report yesterday that stated that 80% of that money is being blown on imported turbines.

      The Leaf's range won't work for everyone, but will fill the needs of a significant niche.

      Rest assured Elligirl, when we get a Leaf to put through a week's worth of testing, we'll deliver an actual review, 'cause that's what we do, week after week.

      It'll be a while before production starts and the cars hit the test fleets.
