Greetings Friends at Current TV,
I am a Reverend located on the East Coast and advocate for those whose voice has not yet been heard.
Currently, S.Dakota,Lakota Sioux,at Pine Ridge is under assault from yet another blizzard. People of ages are starving and freezing to death. I am not being dramatic here. These are facts. Included please find a video, for which, if used by you, I want no fee, only a story to be broadcast.
An initiative took place last Friday,29,Jan.2010, where many called CNN, simutaneously, within 30 mins, a CNN helicopter was seen over the Pine Ridge Reservation, this led to a mere 20 sec. spot on HLN, after a sincere promise to The People of story.
I am dedicated viewer and would like to think Current TV is not afraid nor bullied by powers that be, for some, yet, unforseen, reason, we have not yet been able to get aid to the second poorest area in the Western Hemisphere, second only to Haiti.
The video I included, although, a bit dated, shows of meters being shut off to people with babies on nebulizers and US war vets dying of terminal illness. These are basic human rights being denied the people , in some instances, who fought for these freedoms.
I ask you, How can this be happening?
Won't you please assist, by sharing this story.

UPDATE: 2011
The struggles continue to decimated a People.
On Friday, 14, October, 2011, ABC's 20/20, broadcast a show of the younger generation of First Peoples'Lakota Sioux, Pine Ridge.While this is fabulous progress, referr to my above pleas, and will generate $$'s, there is much to be done now, immediately, before winter takes hold.
One life lost to hunger, temperatures, is one life too many.
Hear our cries.
We are not asking for handouts, we are asking for hand-UPS.
As you sit, like myself, in the comfort of your homes, bellies full, please try to think of that coat you may not have worn in a season or two. Think, please, of our brothers and sisters.
For the next seven generations....

We need all help we can get. can-do,org is involved, as I am with them, Founder, Eric Klein is on ground in Haiti and assisting me from ther ewith a short team here in us.
Seriously peoples, The First Peoples, are in DANGER of freezing and starving to death.
