Unplug the Signal: The Truth Will Not Be Televised

Image

Predictive programming is a tool used by the establishment to acclimate the public to new ideas, trends, beliefs, and threats.

A flow of information is constantly streaming from the television set; a bombardment of words and pictures. The speed at which this information is communicated makes it easy for the signal to take control, switching the viewer’s brain to stand-by as information is absorbed without analysis or question. Today the television’s constant signal shapes the conclusions of the masses and produces the collective norm. The signal prescribes what is news and what is truth through the words of so-called experts and authorities, gelding the consciousness and independent thoughts of those subjected to it. Through television, the masses can be made to accept the most monstrous distortions of reality. The signal is a chill wind of continuous oppression over the minds of the masses. It controls the management of society and culture, creating uniformity across all subjects.

Very good editorial. Usually, people start smoking or drinking in their teens, give or take, but the TV, well, most have been plopped in front of one within days of being born. Its probably the hardest addiction to break...even harder than crack. When I got rid of my TV a couple of years ago, it was the best decision I made.

Sure, I still get Netflix and watch some shows on Hulu or whatever, but once you unplug and look from the outside in for a while, you'll realize how disgusting and repulsive the programming is. Since then, I've read plenty of books and learned a lot of things they don't want us to know. In addition, I've been much healthier mentally, physically and spiritually.

I guarantee that if you're depressed, you're watching a lot of TV or playing video games. That's your brain telling you to get up off your lazy, brainwashed ass and become a real man or woman and prioritize your life in a healthy, balanced way and stop living in perpetual childhood.

Worse than just bad taste, television is the NWO's #1 propaganda tool and family destroyer. You can look this up, but I remember seeing an article stating that couples with a TV in the bedroom have 50% less sex! Shameful...and its all part of a plan. Wake up and take your life back.

    • See, here's the thing. Not all television is bad. History channel, science channels as an example, are all informative and educational. There are also a variety of programs that are worth watching. Einstein once said "imagination is more important than knowledge". There are countless inventions that we take advantage of on a daily basis that where inspired by a variety of television programs and movies. Take star trek for example. Touch screen computing, cell phones, even our visions of current and future space exploration. Without the television, most of the inspiration found from TV shows like Star Trek would have never come to fruition.

These are just some examples, and while I do agree that some aspects of TV rot the brain, I.E. NEWS MEDIA, I believe that other aspects of television have inspired technological advances that have improved our lives.

Life is duality. I'm not trying to be deep. It is plain and simple. Anything and everything can be said to have positive and negative effects. What this article is addressing is the fact that quantity of television that is being watched by the majority is screwing with their brain activity. We can play devil's advocate and say, "Well, too much of anything is not good for you." Okay, that's true, but lets address the fact that television is viewed 6 hours a day by the average viewer. Even if viewers watch much less and prefer the channels you suggested, or even just sticks to a single one, there is time given to advertising. From the actual programs to the commercials, the viewer is introduced to numerous amounts of symbolism, facts, half-truths, and plain old B.S., most for the sake of shock value. So the brain is continuously having to absorb all the material, regardless of whether they retain it. The amount of time the brain is subjected to that type of activity in a person's life very well determines just how functional their mind ends up being in reality. So if a person has watched plenty of television and movies since they were a child, their brain may not function as well as someone who didnt watch much television programming, and tried learning about WWII without lizards telling him about how he could be saving money by switching car insurance companies. You get it?

Wait! there's more! The article is focussed on how corporations control most television programming. So for all that you do learn from the great channels, there is certain topics that cant ever be discussed in an honest fashion. Often, you will find the topics you wished to be discussed in a tangent sort of fashion, only to be shrugged off as frivolous nonsense and other demeaning manners. From the advertising to the programs, it does matter what political agenda is discussed, there is hardly a single outlet for all information to be discussed in an honest, enlightening and serious way.

    • These days about the only tv I watch is sports like the Bulls or White Sox and sometimes I have it on in the background when I'm here online. With all that's available online where you can pick and choose there's really not much old time television can do to compete.

    • I have a tv in my bedroom but I honestly can't remember the last time I sat down and watched it. The only time it's even on is when I'm not at home and thats just because I was lucky enough to get a dog with pretty severe anxiety and the noise from the tv calms him down so he doesnt destroy the house.

    • We must go out and learn all we can. It's not too hard, I used to read a book a day, but I've been slowing down, but I'm working on it.

A nation of intellects is much stronger than one full of military personnel and shady politics. Who's with me!?

    • Product placement has been driving me nuts!!! Just watched Psych and I had to shut it off. I think I'm done with TV..again. I went without it for a year, then somebody gave me a TV for free, and I got hooked again. It started with PBS, then got progressively worse. It's definitely an addiction.

    • haha, I agree with this. I got rid of my TV a couple of years ago, too. Also, I believe the internet is better. You just have to be conscious of what you're looking at. As long as it stays free and open.

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

      THE REVOLUTION WILL BE AJILIVIZED!
      --------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, now to explain... Ajil is my last name. It was only recently that I thought of mashing the two together (Ajil + Television= AJILIVIZION). I use the name as my artist avatar title. This article sums up pretty much everything I have been trying to tell so many about. It is time people turned off the endless streaming of mindless information and entertainment because it is ruining reality for the rest of us. This is not some conspiracy that all the people that work for television are plotting. People just don't know any better. We're feeding the system mindlessly, all for so many different reasons. Now that the internet is so widely available, we can choose what we let into our consciousness, and cut out all the pollution of hate and fear. In one month, it will officially be one year since I turned off the cable television and broke the addiction. I might have to come back to this article later, because I have so much to say on this topic, but life beckons me to attend to other matters. Now, I'm off to save the world!

    • Hmm, I'm really not sure what to think about this. I mean studies have shown that there is next to no brain activity while watching tele so that would go along with the article when it says "...switching the viewer’s brain to stand-by as information is absorbed without analysis or question."
It all makes sense, but I'm not sure that everything on tv is aimed at corrupting or taking over our minds. That would mean that every script writer for every show would have a bad intent and ulterior motives to try to indoctrinate us with their view points and opinions in mind.

    • This is an awesome piece. I got rid of my TV nine months ago and I've been SO MUCH HAPPIER! TV is so disgusting. It's become something it wasn't intended to be. It's run by the commercial companies....so they are exploiting the viewing public's naivety and are brainwashing children.

According to a study "15-18 year-old high schoolgirls in Nadroga, Fiji found the self-reported incidence of purging rose from 0% in 1995 (a few weeks after the introduction of television in the province) to 11.3% in 1998" (British Journal of Psychiatry)

    • I don't think that they would use a dying technology to expand their "agenda." Their more likely to try to hack your computer and "persuade" you to do something.
