A study shows that we vary in our ability to accurately judge ourselves. While we are good judges of our own internal traits, such as anxiety and happiness, this study finds that other people, including strangers, are often better than us in judging our attractiveness or our intelligence. The traits found to be judged better by strangers are usually evaluative qualities, which make it difficult for us to objectively determine them.
I find this very interesting and telling, and I'm sure many disagreements comes over this difference in self-evaluation.
